It Is All About Process

Mike is pursuing existential issues.  Wonders what he wants to do with his life.  Wonders if it matters what he chooses anyway. 

I say, “I wonder if you could feel contented with your process?”

Mike tells a wonderful story! 

He is in a pottery class.  The master teacher is throwing a beautiful pot and describing a technique for making designs on the outside of it.  The student next to the teacher says something to the effect, “Oh, if only I could do something like the pot you are creating.” The master teacher stopped and very strongly stated, “The pot you are creating is every bit as valuable, as important, as the one I’m creating.  It is All About Process!”
